Meet DGN

Rtn. Ibrahim Khalil Al-Zayad Pinak is a Charter Member and Past President of Rotary Club of Dhaka MahaNagar.  He has been a part of Rotary family since 1978 when his father, Rtn. PP Muhammad Nazrul Islam, joined the Rotary movement as the Charter Joint Sgt.-at-Arms of Rotary Club of Dhaka Midtown.  His mother, Late R-Ann Shamshad Begum was involved with the Inner Wheel movement.  Rtn. Pinak Joined Rotary in 2010 and has served in various official capacities including District Secretary General, Additional District Trainer and Assistant Governor.  He has served as the Chair of various events including Multi District Peace Conference.  He is the recipient of various awards including TRF District Service Award, Rotary Club Builder Award, RI Presidential Citation and Best President Award. 

Upon completing his BA in Economics and MBA in Finance in USA, Rtn. Pinak continued to work there for about 13 years encompassing banking, consulting and corporate finance at Fortune 500 companies, namely, Wells Fargo, Ryan, Dell and Honeywell. In 2010, he returned to Bangladesh and joined the family business within the arena of infrastructure construction.  Rtn. Pinak is happily married to Rtn. Dr. Fariha Fuad Choudhury and are proud parents of R-Let Rida Mariska Al-Zayad, a student of Sunbeams. 

 Rtn. Pinak is the Vice Chair of Executive Board of ActionAid Bangladesh and a member of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce (DCCI).  He is also a member of Dhaka Club Limited, Narayanganj Club Limited and Uttara Club Limited. Rtn. Pinak loves to travel, listen to music, watch movies and spend time with friends.  He has traveled to more than 22 countries.
